The Chief Information Officer is responsible for defining and executing a global technology strategy that enables growth, operational excellence, and innovation.

Reporting to the CFO, the role provides enterprise-wide leadership across IT operations, digital transformation, cybersecurity, data, and applications in a complex, multi-region environment.

Description

• Define and execute a global IT and digital strategy aligned to business objectives
• Lead reliable, secure, and scalable IT operations across multiple geographies
• Drive enterprise-wide digital transformation, including cloud, automation, and AI
• Establish and govern cybersecurity, data protection, and information security standards
• Oversee enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, HRMS) to maximise business value
• Build and lead a high‑performing, future‑ready global IT organisation
• Manage global IT budgets, investment governance, and vendor performance
• Advise executive leadership and the Board on technology risks and opportunities

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or similar; MBA preferred
• 20+ years of progressive technology leadership experience
• Proven CIO experience within large, complex, global organisations (USD 500m+ revenue)
• Strong experience in global IT operations, digital transformation, and cybersecurity
• Demonstrated ability to influence Boards and executive leadership teams
• Financial acumen covering budgeting, investment governance, and business cases
• Experience leading large, multicultural teams across multiple regions
• Background in industrial, manufacturing, mining, or asset‑intensive environments preferred
